The objectives of these qualifications are to:

Structure
To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care, learners are required to successfully complete the assessments for the following 3 mandatory units:
The units are:
Unit 1 – Principles of communication in adult social care settings
Unit 2 – Understanding the role of the social care worker
Unit 3 – Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care.
How the course is delivered
This Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care is delivered via blended learning. Learners have full access to an online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that provides a range of resources, including learning materials, case studies, presentations, interactive activities, and web links.
Tutors provide continuous support throughout the course via the VLE, with feedback on assignments, regular communication, and optional face-to-face video sessions or classroom sessions for interactive learning.
Assessment
All units will be internally assessed using a variety of methods, including written assignments, case studies, reflective statements, and portfolio-based evidence.
